Managing Outback Roads

Managing Outback Roads Manual

The Managing Outback Roads Manual is an integral contribution to outback road management, linking soil experts with 'on the ground' practitioners.

Written by Hugh Pringle- Ecosystem Management Understanding (EMU), Darryl Hill- Soil Save, Paul Theakston- Western Local Land Services, the NSW Government, Colin Stanton and Russell Grant, the manual aims to assist in the reduction of environmental impacts of erosion and landscape dehydration. It will also help land managers’ back pockets by reducing the money spent on road maintenance and wear and tear of vehicles.

‘Managing Outback Roads’ is a collaborative partnership between South Australian Arid Lands Natural Resource Management Board, Cape York Natural Resource Management, Western Local Land Services, Rangelands Natural Resource Management and Territory Natural Resource Management (TNRM).
