CLMA recent achievements:

20/21 Financial year

  • Membership of 22 businesses representing 37 properties
  • 2 X Mental Health First Aid Courses delivered
  • Supported the Desert Poppies group to hold a Bush Community Day at Mt Riddock Station
  • Provided feedback to the Weeds Advisory Committee & Territory NRM plans and the Pastoral Land Board compliance framework
  • Lobbied Federal Ag Minister David Littleproud in regard to the number of Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator (RALF) that the NT has- compared to other states
  • Shared a booth with Landcare NT at the NTCA conference to promote our organisation
  • Assisted in the reforming of the Barkly Landcare & Conservation Assoc. 
  • Reprinted the Central Australian Grasses Guide book.
  • Organized an info session with Select Carbon for land managers interested in carbon credits

The 21/22 financial year is but new and we have already started or completed the following:


  • Partnered with Landcare NT to deliver a 2-day workshop 'Sustainable Land Management on Central Australian Rangelands
  • Partnered with Dionne Walsh for her to re-monitor the Cunningham sites
  • Developed a 'Mailerite' Newsletter to share information to land holders more easily
  • Partnered with Bellette to revamp our website in early 2022
  • Canvassing interest and funding for a 2022 Desert Poppies event
  • Membership increased with 2 new properties coming on board.
